1) Do the iGET HOMEGUARD IP cameras support RTSP?
Models HGWIP710, HGWIP720, HGWOB751, HGWOB851, HGWOB753 support RTSP.
 
2) The camera set does not record to the connected HDD to the USB port at the back of the main unit
The camera set records only on the built-in HDD inside the main unit, the USB ports are only used to connect USB peripherals such as a mouse or keyboard, or to connect an external HDD to export a backup of already recorded footage on the internal HDD.
 
3) Can I record to an external drive?
Cannot, you can only backup to an external drive from the internal drive, except for battery models, which can also record to a USB drive.
 
4) If not, where and for how much can I get a sata drive that is not included?

5) Does the internal sata drive need to be installed by a professional?
Anyone can do it, just unscrew the 4 screws, pull out the cover, then plug the drive into the SATA connector and attach it with the screws, then just slide the cover on.
 
6) How long is the cabling from the camera to the DV recorder?
18m, if longer is needed it is possible to buy another 30m cable for connection, so 48m.
 
7) How many hours of recording can fit on a 1 TB disc?
When recording on all 4 HD cameras with HGDVK46704 and using a 1TB drive, that's 7 days.
 
8) How many hours of footage can be uploaded to the iGET SECURITY M3P18 IP camera into the 32GB internal memory?
4x 24 hours, i.e. 4 days of recording before the oldest recordings are overwritten.
 
9) How do I set up video recording to the SD card when motion is detected?
Connect the camera to your mobile phone according to the manual and continue. In the camera list, click the green arrow next to the camera. Now uncheck the option "app received alarm info" and click on "Advanced settings". Check Camera Settings -> Alarm Settings -> Motion Detection active, sensitivity Medium or High, and below that check Save video to SD card and the setup is done.
 
10) How do I set the IP camera to basic (factory) settings?
Leave the camera plugged in, press and hold the Reset button for 20 seconds, then release it. Now wait about 1 minute for the camera to boot up.
 
11) How is the automatic deleting of footage/deleting of old videos done with a camera system and how with an IP camera?
The camera system records an infinite loop, which it overwrites from the oldest recording onwards. The IP cameras record short videos (approx. 2 minutes) which, when the memory is full, start overwriting from the oldest one.
 
12) How do I connect to the iGET HOMEGUARD IP camera using RTSP?
You must enter this path: rtsp://admin:123456@192.168.6.37/live/ch0 or this address: rtsp://admin:123456@192.168.6.37/live/ch1
- "admin" is the name,
- "123456" is the password,
- "192.168.6.37" is the IP address of the camera.
 
13) Is it possible to connect the iGET Homeguard HGPRO728/HGPRO729/HGPLM828/HGPLM829 directly to the TV or is it necessary to connect it before the DVR?
It is necessary to use a DVR recorder, even though the camera has a BNC connector, it transmits an analog CCTV HD 720p signal. And this signal is not handled by the classic S-Video/SCART input. The recorder is already connected to the TV via HDMI/VGA/CINCH.
 
14) I need a longer cable for CCTV cameras or CCTV camera sets iGET HOMEGUARD. the existing 18 m is unfortunately not enough.

15) How do I set up sending photos to email for IP camera/CCTV system? SMTP email settings?

It is necessary to run the program as Administrator and in Windows XP mode.

19) How to set up uploading from IP camera to FTP server?
An example of an FTP server setup is in the image below, this information varies depending on your FTP server.
You can also enter e.g. "ftp://ftp4.webzdarma.cz" in the "FTP server" field.

21) How do I set the iGET HOMEGUARD IP camera to record footage or store photos on the internal card?
In the application, enter the camera settings and then "Advanced settings" -> "Alarm settings" -> "Motion detection active" check, and select the level at which it should be detected (Low, Medium, High). Then check below what the camera should do when motion is detected. It is not possible to select to save the image and record at the same time. So most often check from this selection "Save image to SD card" or "Save recording to SD card". Confirm the save with the Done/OK button.

22) What is the consumption of the DVR recorder and cameras?
For example, the iGET HOMEGUARD HGDVK87704 has a consumption of: DVR up to 10 Watt, each camera without night vision 1.1 Watt, with night vision 5.5 Watt, max. consumption of the set DVR + 4 pcs FullHD camera is 32 Watt.
 
23) Cannot connect the camera to the router.
Check that it is set:
- WPA-PSK AES or WPA2-PSK AES security,
- WiFi channels fixed 1-11,
- WiFi name without special characters and spaces, ideally without diacritics e.g. ř,í,É.
Alternatively, test the camera on a different router to verify whether we are dealing with a WiFi router setting or a faulty WiFi part on the camera.
 
24) The camera cannot be connected to a WiFi network, the name of the WiFi network is not even displayed in the app
If you do not see the network name in the app while setting up the WiFi network for the IP camera and cannot enter it, please enable GPS Location on your phone and then launch the app again.
 
25) Is it possible to use a wireless mouse with camera sets?
Every wireless mouse may not work properly, use a wired mouse for initial setup and especially for passwords, for example. Some wireless mice generate different characters in the settings, for each mouse you need to check this, e.g. in the settings of the camera labels etc. to make sure it generates the correct characters. Otherwise, the main unit may also become encrypted, etc.
 
26) How to connect WiFi cameras of HGNVK49004 and HGNVK88304 camera sets using LAN cable and RJ45 ports on the cameras?
It is necessary to delete the camera from the list of cameras in the NVR. Then connect the camera using the Ethernet cable and LAN ports to the home router to which the NVR is also connected. Then run a camera search in the camera list in the NVR settings. Connect the camera in this way and it will already be connected via LAN.
 
27) Is it possible to connect 4K cameras HGNVK936CAM to FullHD set HGNVK85304?
Yes, it is possible to connect up to 4pcs of 4K HGNVK936CAM and 4pcs of FullHD HGNVK930CAM at the same time.
The recording will be in full resolution, i.e. the cameras with HGNVK936CAM will be 4K, and the cameras with HHGNVK930CAM will be FullHD. I.e. the recording will be in Main-stream.
However, when online video is displayed on the screen, it will only be seen in this full resolution when one channel is displayed at any given time. When displaying e.g. 4 channels or 8 channels, the Sub-stream will be used, i.e. lower resolution, but the recording will be in full Main-stream at all times.
 
28) Cloud www.homeguardsafe.com not working or unable to log in

29) How can I export AVI or MP4 files from the recorder?

With Homeguardsafe you can export files directly to your computer. By default, .rt files are downloaded. This setting can be changed here: Homeguardsafe - Icon panel - System config - File Config - File types - here select AVI and confirm "Save".
