Support: Tablets

Before you send us a query to our Helpdesk about a malfunctioning device, please read the points below first to see if there is already a solution. Really do this as over 50% of queries have a solution as described below. Thank you.

1) The tablet is displaying an error message or has a problem.
If your tablet is displaying an error message, having a charging problem or something else try searching to see if an update is available. If you have a WiFi connection problem and can't download the update, try restarting the tablet and turning the WiFi on immediately after the restart to look for the update. The battery must be over 30% charged for the update to complete properly.

2) Connected keyboard does not write Czech characters.
If you have a keyboard connected and the keyboard does not write Czech characters, you need to adjust the keyboard layout. This setting can be found in Settings => System => Language and input => Physical keyboard => here you click on the name of the physical keyboard (HID and possibly some number), a window will appear and you select "SET KEYBOARD LAYOUT", here you can select the keyboard layout you need. If you select, for example, Czech and English, you can switch this setting while typing text by using the left CTRL + spacebar key

3) Cannot connect to PC with USB cable or can not connect USB flash drive.
If you have an iGET SMART L206 tablet or iGET SMART L205 tablet inserted into a K206 (for L206) or K10P (for L205) keyboard, you cannot use the USB-C port to download data from or to the tablet at the same time. When the tablet is inserted into the keyboard, only charging via USB-C is possible, in order to connect the tablet to a PC it is necessary to remove the tablet from the keyboard and set up data transfer in the tablet after connecting to the PC.

4) The tablet is choppy and I keep seeing a picture of Android or the iGET logo after turning it on.
Wait at least 3 minutes to see if Android loads. If it doesn't load, gently press the reset button with a blunt thin object, its location is near the tablet on/off button, if even this doesn't help, you will need to send it to a service center.

5) The tablet cannot be turned on after purchase or after it has been discharged.
The tablet may have an uncharged battery after purchase and for this reason it will not turn on. The tablet must be left charging for at least 15 - 40 minutes after purchase. The same applies to the case after a complete discharge. If it still does not charge, try another power cable of the same type or an adapter with the same specifications as the original adapter.

6) The display looks scratched or dirty after purchase.
Each display or touch layer is factory covered with a protective film, which can be removed from the touch layer after purchase, e.g. with a fingernail. We recommend starting at the top right corner of the tablet.

7) I entered the unlock PIN or gesture incorrectly and the tablet is now locked.
You will need to completely reinstall Android on the tablet. This can only be done at a service centre. Alternatively, enquire the price of android repair/reinstallation here www.servis4you.cz. In any case, before sending the device to the service centre, you must place an order here: reklamace.intelek.cz

8) Unable to connect the tablet to a WiFi network.
Check if you have entered the correct login or password, then try the tablet on another network created by another router as older router types may not support long names of connecting devices and will refuse to connect the device. The solution is to update such older router to the latest firmware or replace it with a new one, e.g. Tenda TX3 or Tenda TX9 Pro product.

9) The tablet does not last long on battery.
Battery life depends on how you use it, if you have video on, WiFi connected, brightness set to maximum and so on shorter battery life is common. It is possible to extend the runtime by e.g. lowering the LCD brightness, turning off Wifi when not in use, etc.

10) Peeling in the speaker.
In some cases, there may be peeling in the speaker e.g. when using WiFi to launch apps etc. This is a common tablet phenomenon, so it will not be taken into consideration in any complaint.

11) The tablet has 4GB internal memory according to the specifications, however I see a different number in the settings.
The tablet contains 4GB of internal memory, however, the usable amount is only 3.7GB due to the conversion from decimal to binary system understandable to computers. 1GB is usually claimed by the Android system and the rest of the 2.7GB is divided according to the type of tablet into 1-2GB for applications and user data + 0.4-1.58GB for data for connecting a USB flash drive.
How is it in a tablet?
1.Internal storage - storage for applications
2.SD card/Internal storage - (should rather be called SSD drive or internal SD card) - storage for data like video, pictures etc.
3.External SD card - a microSD card inserted into the phone that cannot store apps. It is used to store data that you will then want to read on your computer.

12) Precessor speed.
For processors, the maximum value of the frequency at which the processor can run is given, the actual value may vary depending on the application.

13) Not enough internal memory on my tablet for apps.
In this case, we recommend uninstalling unused apps.
Some apps can be "Moved to SD" to free up memory for apps. To move apps, go to System - Apps - select the app - click on "Move to SD". This option is only supported by some apps and may not always be available on Android.
Another option is to use the "Clear Data" button in the same interface as in the previous sentence, which clears the cache of data the app stores and sometimes unnecessarily (e.g. Facebook).
Another option, is if you have photos and downloaded files then move them to a second larger part of the internal memory if the internal memory is partitioned.
More information can be read here.
For toymakers and experienced users then this guide exists however at your own risk only, we are not responsible for any problems. Rooting the tablet will void your warranty.

14) Tablet has stopped responding, won't boot, doesn't respond to touch.
Perform a Factory Reset/Recovery reset. Be careful to delete all data (photos, videos, music, pdfs, etc.) stored on the tablet!! The tablet must be switched off. If you can't touch it, hold the Power button until the tablet turns off. Press and hold the Volume - button, then press the Power button. Hold both buttons until the tablet turns on. Press the Volume + and - buttons to select the Wipe data/factory reser menu in the displayed Recovery interface and confirm with the Power button.

15) WhatsApp app
During a video call via WhatsApp, the picture is rotated 90°. This phenomenon is caused by the WhatsApp application being configured on a mobile phone that is positioned vertically, while the tablet is positioned horizontally. Therefore, the image is rotated by 90°.
